We have misunderstood the nature of Donald Trump; he is an
antifragile man. "Antifragile is beyond resilience or robustness. The
resilient resists shocks and stays the same; the antifragile gets better."
(Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder). In many
ways he benefits from shocks; he thrives and grows when exposed to volatility,
randomness, disorder, and stressors and loves adventure, risk, and uncertainty.
Synchronous Leaders professionalism is taking a broader
aspect. They move from being a diplomatic expert to becoming a professional
world developer, familiar with the best practices, digital tools and
methodologies. They lead from this aspect, inspiring their people to become
professional, equipping them with the knowledge and tools they require. Only time
will tell if this Republican presidential nominee is a Synchronous Leader.
Synchronic Leadership, according to Nir Golan, educational
and leadership expert, can only take place by coincidence in time. Donald
Trump is a talented Business man and a Reality Television Star. In 1980, he
opened the Grand Hyatt, which made him the most controversial developer. In 2004
Trump began starring in the hit NBC reality series which became an offshoot for
The Celebrity Apprentice. The Synchronous Leader isn't only a leader of a
country, he is a global leader: he leads a global process from end to end
(E2E), regardless of a specific location. He leads a global team: a global
professional team built up from experts all around who work as a global team.
The translation of these assumptions into Trump's leadership is challenging. Synchronous
Leadership consists of a dynamic combination of mindset, behaviors, and skills
that are employed to change and enhance the world through the use of
technology.
Trump's Leadership is not consists of innovation, effective
and integrative technology, meaningful professional development, global
connection and an open mind. Trump as a Synchronous Leader isn't very much
empowered by the world and take an active part in the global development team-
from decision making to implementation, having a broad understanding of overall
considerations. Right now Trump doesn’t behave like a Synchronous Leader, and
we do need one.
